Last week I was sick and missed Thursday and just missing that one day alone changed the way my weekend went. I thought I could make it Saturday to make it up but my Lil’Bean was up at night not feeling well so I was beyond exhausted and stayed home. This weekend I have felt on and off weakness and fatigue which I don’t normally feel when I go to my classes. This Body Back class has been such a big part of my life in the past couple months that I just can’t stand it when I miss a class!
When you find something that makes you feel good you wouldn’t just quit it right? Thats how I feel about Body Back. I am not ready to leave the nest yet. We’re heading into week 3 of my 2nd round and I don’t want it to end. I had the beginning stages of what I thought was going to be a terrible head cold and it went away in a matter of 2 days! I KNOW that my quick bounce back from illness was partly because of these classes. Its not just about working out though, we have each others back for our daily water intake, and meal planning too. There are so many other reasons other than my health that I love Body Back.
- I get 2 nights a week to be me and not mom.
- I don’t have to do bedtime (not that its EVER a struggle considering my profession, riiiiggghhhttt?!)
- I get to socialize! With adults!
- I get to meditate at the end of each class. (This one is still a work in progress for me)
- I guarantee myself a shower those evenings.
- I always leave with a smile on my face.
- I never leave saying “Man I wish I didn’t do that class”.
Last Tuesday, our lovely coach had an ABC’s workout class prepared for us. She had a board completed with exercises for each letter of the alphabet. We would run and grab a word out of a pile such as “Abs” and then look up what exercise to do for “A”, “B” & “S”. Once you finished that you’d pick a new word and repeat. This was more of a self regulated paced class, however we all were giving it at least an 8 out of 10 for effort. I loved this workout so much! I always plan on leaving as a tomato face and I succeeded this class. If you’re looking for a no-equipment workout that you can do anywhere – either alone or with a friend then this alphabet themed workout is perfect!
As you can see, I am very happy with my Body Back classes and I really love to share about them with you. I am always looking to meet new mama friends and bring them to a class. You never know, this might just be what you are looking for. Stay tuned for more updates as I go. Thank you for all your love and support.
